Conor McGregor’s return to competition is shaping up to be one of this year’s most highly anticipated events for MMA fans. As such, during a recent appearance on the MMA Hour, Dan Hardy, former UFC commentator and MMA fighter, revealed that he is picking Conor McGregor to prevail over Michael Chandler at UFC 303.

Hardy stated, “I can’t underestimate McGregor’s ability. He’s done very special things at  very tense and high pressured moments in his career…He has an ability to control and manage and create illusions with range…And Michael Chandler’s not the guy that he was in Bellator when he was cautious and picking his shots…”

He further went on to state that just like McGregor’s performance against Jose Aldo at UFC 194 in 2015, Chandler could also find himself falling victim to “recklessness” against a dangerous striker like ‘The Notorious’.

This drew a response from McGregor himself on X, where he stated, “There is levels and in 7 weeks and 5 days you are gonna see the very, very top level. This next run is for the Clan! #BeenReady” and in another post, he made it clear what he thinks about Michael Chandler as he stated, “NOT ON MY LEVEL, NOT EVEN CLOSE.”

However, it’s interesting to note that both McGregor and Chandler will be coming into this clash with losses in their last fights against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 and UFC 281, respectively. Nevertheless, as the countdown to UFC 303 continues, anticipation continues to build for McGregor’s return to competition with another interesting name having thrown his hat into the ring as well!

‘Do Bronx’ wants UFC 303 ‘back-up’ slot for McGregor vs. Chandler
