Jon Jones approves Conor McGregor’s fighting spirit

Jon Jones is the current heavyweight champion of the world, however, a pectoral injury ahead of his clash against Stipe Miocic has sidelined him from the octagon. It’s kind of funny to consider that Conor McGregor and Jon Jones are sidelined from the UFC due to some reasons. However, you may take UFC out of these fighters but you can’t take fighting from them.

A recent video of Conor McGregor is making rounds on social media where it can be seen that Conor McGregor is having the time of his life with his kids. ‘Notorious’ was seen enjoying his time on a yacht, however, what intrigued the MMA community and Jon Jones is that, despite being away from the sport, Mcgregor still carries on its remnants. The video got the attention of Jon ‘Bones’ Jones. The heavyweight champion of the world took to his Instagram handle to add a comment about McGregor’s advice. Jones wrote, “That’s called passion”. Nonetheless, there’s no definite date for McGregor’s return. Even the CEO, Dana White stated that they are planning a McGregor-Chandler fight in the fall. “Eventually,” White said. “Hopefully this year. There is no date. I’m hoping for the fall, (that we can) get it done in the fall,” said Dana White in The Pat McAfee Show.

Chael Sonnen explains why Dana White is delaying McGregor’s comeback

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler were supposed to fight last year but USADA stepped in and paused the match. It has been months since then and there have been no developments from UFC promotion regarding their return. The MMA community has even blamed Dan White for the delay. The community states that White is delaying McGregor’s comeback because he wants a prolonged contract from ‘Notorious’.However, Chael Sonnen believes that the UFC CEO is doing everything possible.

“You get reminded that Dana White will not do anything, and, that something has a reasonable chance to bounce into something else. Everything must be a springboard, right? Every idea Dana drops lands on a trampoline – whoop! – and it shoots up if it ever drops onto a vortex. It stays or it cuts a hole in the trampoline and falls into the ground. It’s just not going to happen. It must lead to something else, the potential and the possibility of doing something, no matter how wonderful; they can grow into something even more wonderful,” said Chael Sonnen on his YouTube handle.

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler might lock horns soon but when? no one knows. White is planning something big after the UFC 300 and this might include McGregor. What’s your opinion on the delay? Tell us about your thoughts in the comments below.
