Conor McGregor narrowly avoided a clean sweep against Team Michael Chandler on The Ultimate Fighter 31. Rico DiSciullo was the only fighter on Team McGregor who notched up a win, taking the score to 7-1 before the quarterfinals. McGregor rewarded DiSciullo by letting him take his Lamborghini for a spin.
Many fans have attributed Team McGregor’s poor showing to McGregor’s poor coaching. This includes Chandler, who accused the Irishman of not being there for his team, after which a furious McGregor would two-hand shove Chandler away. UFC boss Dana White rushes to the cage as the conflict threatened to escalate. McGregor tweeted a fan edit of him and White on TUF.

McGregor is a coach on season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter and is up against Michael Chandler. The show is in the knockout stages right now, and Dana White surprised the fighters by asking a few to change their teams. Kurt Holobaugh, Brad Katona, and Austin Hubbard were switched to Team McGregor and will compete in the quarterfinals and semifinals as members of Team McGregor.
Nevertheless, the MMA community can look forward to a fight between the two opposing coaches at the end of the season. However, its unclear when the fight could materialize.
When will Conor McGregor fight Michael Chandler?
Conor McGregor was slated to fight Chandler in a bout in December of this year. However, it seems unlikely that the fight will take place then. USADA rules require UFC fighters to be in its testing pool for at least six months.
