Tony Ferguson returns at UFC 256

El Cucuy” is looking to get back in the win column after suffering his first loss in eight years. Ferguson went on a 12-fight unbeaten run in that time. Now, he will look to beat Charles Oliveira and re-establish his claim as the no.1 lightweight on the planet yet again.

Oliveira has been on a roll of his own too and has an active seven-fight win streak. Stylistically, this fight promises to be a banger. Unfortunately for fans, the bout will be only three-rounds as it will be a co-main event outing.

No matter the number of rounds, Ferguson knows that a huge win is all it takes to be back in the title conversation. It will be hard to not give “El Cucuy” his shot at the gold, should he win against Oliviera as his achievements over the year speak for themselves. Meanwhile, the man behind the tweet is set to make his own return.

Conor McGregor will fight at UFC 257

McGregor is set to return early next year at UFC 257, as he faces Dustin Poirier in what would be a rematch between the two top lightweights. The two fighters met back in 2014 in a featherweight bout. The Irish fighter got the better of his opponent as he finished Poirier in the opening round. However, as both fighters have evolved, fans expect the rematch to be a completely different contest from their first meeting.

Could the winner of Ferguson vs Oliveira fight the McGregor vs Poirier winner? Was that on ‘The Notorious’ mind as he put out his tweet? Let us know your thoughts.
