Jiří Procházka became the new UFC light heavyweight champion after a stunning submission win at UFC 275. By winning the title, he also made UFC star Conor McGregor extremely ecstatic. The Irish star took to Twitter to express his happiness. After all, his 29-year-old stablemate at Paradigm Sports managed to become one of the youngest current UFC champions.

Paradigm Sports shared a video of the first Czech UFC champion getting a warm welcome in his hometown of Bruno. McGregor shared the video and wrote, “All I got was a howya from Mary in baggage claim Huge congrats to the Czech Republic and to my @ParadigmSports stablemate @jiri_bjp”.

Glover Teixeira versus Jiří Procházka was a war in the Octagon. In fact, Procházka could have lost the bout as two judges had scored higher for Teixeira. If ‘Denisa’ hadn’t successfully submitted his opponent, he would have lost the bout.

Submitting Teixeira just seconds before the final round sealed his fate as the new champion. After such a rollercoaster of a fight, UFC fans were enthralled.

How Did Jiri Prochazka Get His Nickname? What Was His Old Nickname?

Therefore, it would be interesting to see Procházka defend his title. He is just three fights old in the UFC. However, he has also been a champion at the Rizin Fighting Federation.
