McGregor recently took a trip to an American gun range, and as expected, he didn’t hold back. The former two-division UFC champion got his hands on an arsenal of firearms, from compact submachine guns to a .50 caliber behemoth. And if his words were anything to go by, he was absolutely loving it.

In a video shared on Instagram by ‘Happy Punch’, the caption said it all as it read, “Conor McGregor was the most dangerous weapon at the range.” The Irish MMA icon kicked off his shooting spree with an MP5, an iconic submachine gun. After unloading an entire clip, he couldn’t contain his excitement as he exclaimed, “Every single one of them hit, yeah. Every single one of them clean in the head.”

But as he moved on to heavier artillery, his excitement only grew. McGregor marveled at the firepower of an assault rifle, then cranked things up with a light machine gun. And when he finally got his hands on a .50 caliber weapon? That’s when things got really intense as he shook hands with the owner of the shop and stated, “Wow! God bless America.”

Conor McGregor’s gun range adventure leaves the fans holding their breath in concern

One fan summed up the internet’s collective concern in just a few words. Given Conor McGregor’s history of unpredictable behavior outside the cage, it’s safe to say he’s not the first person some fans would want behind the trigger.

“Something about Connor with a gun scares me”

So if not a gun how about an RPG? Yes, in the video McGregor pulls a rocket-propelled grenade launcher off the wall and looks stunned at the firepower in his hands. And yet again, the fans were worried about the implications.

Another fan also kept it simple with a statement that, based on the reactions, many fans seemed to agree with.

Then there were those who saw the lighter side of things. One fan compared McGregor’s excitement to that of a child in a candy store. And with ‘The Notorious’s eyes lighting up at every gun that was handed to him, can you really blame him? After all, it’s not every day you get to walk around with an all gold ‘Tommy Gun’ or Thompson submachine gun

“lol like a little kid: ‘can I shoot this?”

With his larger-than-life persona and relentless confidence, according to one fan, the Irishman looked like something straight out of a video game. GTA 6, the upcoming entry in the iconic franchise has the gaming world waiting in anticipation for its reported late-2025 release. So, is there still a chance for Conor McGregor to be added to the game? What do you think?

“Bro would be a cool gta protagonist”

Still, some were more unnerved than entertained. With his past legal troubles and fiery personality, the thought of McGregor with any kind of firearm had some fans feeling uneasy.

“Please don’t give Conor a gun or a permit for a gun”

To wrap things up, Conor McGregor’s latest adventure was equal parts thrilling and unsettling. For some, it was just another day in the life of ‘The Notorious’, an adrenaline junkie embracing his wild side. For others, the sight of him wielding heavy artillery was enough to set off alarm bells.

With GTA 6 release also on the horizon, some fans joked about him being the perfect protagonist. Yet, others weren’t laughing at all. Conor used to call his left hand a double barrel shotgun.
