The rumor of McGregor’s passing circulated online earlier this week. Several users widely disseminated a screenshot of the Wikipedia article displaying the UFC star’s passing date on Twitter.

This news puzzled UFC fans. A fan asked on Twitter, “why does it say Conor McGregor is dead if you google it?” But it all turned out to be a hoax, as ‘The Notorious’ made his presence known by tweeting on his official Twitter account. The former lightweight champion greeted the bodybuilding legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger, on his birthday.

While using an iconic ‘Terminator’ movie line, McGregor wrote, “I’ll be back! For the sake of humankind! I must return! Happy birthday, my man, @Schwarzenegger! Hope you and H are proud of my recovery/work and my latest move on the board. Fun times ahead, bring it.”

‘The Notorious’ also added a few pictures of his meeting with the seven times Mr. Olympia, following his loss against Dustin Poirier in 2021 at UFC 264, where he also suffered a leg injury. Ever since then, McGregor hasn’t competed inside the Octagon.
