Conor McGregor is not only the biggest draw in MMA, but he is one of the biggest draws in the entire sporting world. ‘Mystic Mac’ because of his performances enjoys immense popularity. To solidify this claim, a recent study included ‘The Notorious’ in the list of top 10 most influential sports stars.

According to a recent study, McGregor stood 10th in the list of the top 10 most influential sports stars. Ahead of ‘Mystic Mac’ are athletes like Lionel Messi, LeBron James, Tom Brady, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who topped the list.

Even though the Irish superstar is in the 10th position, he racks up a monthly average of 3.1 million searches on the internet. For an athlete who hasn’t competed for almost a year, this stat is pretty impressive.

The study conducted is a testament to the brand Conor McGregor has built for himself. While McGregor’s fame travels through MMA and beyond, ‘Mystic Mac’ once said that he does not enjoy the fame a lot.

‘Mystic Mac’ said, “You know I always said f**k the fame right. I never got in it for the fame. It’s just been a necessary part of it. It certainly has its pros and cons and I think one day maybe I’ll just log off……because it is a wild game and sometimes it’s tough.”

However, ‘The Notorious’ also said that he is very grateful for the support he receives. He said, ” I’m very grateful for the position I am in. I am very grateful for the support I have of the people. If it brings in some bad, I just think if I keep my focus right and my positivity sharp and keep the people that I respect around me, that will overcome all of that.
