Conor McGregor Makes Dustin Poirier Furious by Throwing His Hot Sauce Bottles Off the Stage During UFC 264 Presser

Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier are all set to compete at the UFC 264 event. This fight is going to be the third between the two fighters and is a highly anticipated affair. Leading up to the fight, both individuals have been taking constant shots at each other.

Recently, the UFC 264 pre-fight press conference took place at the T-Mobile Arena. And from the start, we could see that this time around McGregor was fully fired up and wasn’t backing down from anything. As soon as ‘Notorious’ came onto the stage, he grabbed the bottles of Dustin Poirier’s Louisiana Style hot sauce and threw them off the stage.

During the build-up for their UFC 257 clash, both fighters were very respectful towards each other. ‘The Notorious’ had even accepted a bottle of Poirier’s hot sauce. However, this time around, McGregor, who threw it away, explained his actions. ‘The Notorious’ said, “It’s garbage, don’t have the garbage up on my stage. Where’s the Proper 12? the real sauce, The real Irish hot sauce.”

They even asked McGregor about the bottle of hot sauce Poirier gifted him during Fight Island. ‘The Notorious’ said, “Didn’t even touch it.”

Hence, it looks like the gloves are completely off for this fight and it promises to be an entertaining affair.

The history between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier

Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier first faced each other at the UFC 178 event. That time around Poirier was the more popular star, while McGregor was the upcoming star who was looking to make his way to the top. McGregor had won that fight via a first-round TKO.

Throughout the buildup to that fight, both fighters were constantly in each other’s faces. Poirier had even admitted that McGregor had got in his head and that’s why he lost the fight. Fast forward 7 years to UFC 257, and the atmosphere was quite different. Both fighters showed immense respect towards each other and ended the fight with mutual respect.
