Joe Rogan once made a prediction about a Conor McGregor fight, and it turned out to be true. Unfortunately, it was not in McGregor’s favor.

His rival, Nate Diaz, is preparing for his last UFC bout. At UFC 279, the fighter will face Khamzat Chimaev, who has managed to remain undefeated. Hence, fans are excited to witness the outcome. Similarly, Joe Rogan discussed Diaz and McGregor in the JRE episode #1866.

Both of Diaz’s bouts with Conor McGregor have been of prime importance in UFC’s history. They first clashed in 2016 and the Stockton fighter won through a submission.

They clashed again months later. However, ‘The Notorious‘ won the fight via a majority decision. But as revealed by Rogan, people underestimated Diaz during the first fight.

He said, “Dude, I was the first person to sound the alarm for everybody at the UFC. I was like ‘hey hey hey’, before this even got, I go ‘that guy can win’. This is not a layup. I go ‘Nate Diaz is a terrible match-up. He’s a big guy for 155.”

Rogan further discussed how difficult it was to put away the veteran during a fight. After all, most of his losses have been via a decision. The Jorge Masvidal, Josh Thomson, and Hermes Franca fight before he joined the UFC are the only exceptions.
