Conor McGregor and Dana White want Michael Page to be in the UFC

Michael Page recently became a free agent after his association with Bellator expired and prominent promotions around the world flocked after the luminary kickboxer to fight under their banner. UFC and its CEO Dana White are not backing away from this race either. Matter of fact, UFC is the frontrunner in the race to acquire him to fight under the promotion’s Banner.

‘Venom’ had an interaction with the UFC officials in Abu Dhabi ahead of UFC 294. Page was with his manager Audie Attar, and Dana White later confirmed the two sides were in talks on potentially welcoming him to the promotion. White while in an interview on the pretext of UFC 294, has stated that UFC is interested in Michael’s page. “He’s a kid that we’re definitely interested in. He’s interested too. With things getting settled in and working in favor of UFC, One might wonder why Bellator let go of such a professional and entertaining fighter as ‘Venom’.

Michael Page had an impressive 21-2 record, establishing himself as a formidable welterweight contender during his ten-year tenure with Bellator. His striking skills were a true masterpiece, often leaving opponents flabbergasted with his precision on the feet and the sheer knockout power he displayed. Notably, he secured eight first-round finishes during his stint with Bellator.

Despite being such a dominant force, it came as a surprise for Page that Bellator allowed his contract to lapse. The reason might be Showtime’s surprising decision to end its coverage of combat sports which includes both the worlds of boxing and mixed martial arts. Meanwhile, Paramount has been in ongoing discussions about potentially selling Bellator for several months now.
