Charles Oliveira recently revealed that he was going to be the backup fighter for McGregor’s bout with Chandler. Soon, the scuttlebutt took over social media. Without a doubt, McGregor tuned into his X account and sent forth a response that created a great uproar among mixed martial arts fans.

Recently, Oliveira told Full Send MMA, that he was offered to be the backup fighter for the much-awaited McGregor vs Chandler bout. However, the former UFC double champion has a quirky remark on that. After MMA Orbit shared a tweet showing the Brazilian’s words, ‘The Notorious’ swooped in to reply. He wrote, “I do yous both in the same night, no sweat. I do yous both inside of a round. Combined. I got the magic paws ask Rio and São Paulo about me and my magic. The Irish Wand”

The former UFC double champion has seldom failed to impress the fans with his quick whips on X. This time, too, he sent forth waves of excitement as he claimed that he can defeat both, Chandler and Oliveira, within a single round.

After asking for a fight against the Irishman, Oliveira finally got the chance to enter the Octagon against him. However, that comes with the condition that Chandler steps back and lets the backup fighter compete in his stead.

Following his defeat at the hands of Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 300, the news of becoming the backup for UFC 303 has seemingly motivated the Brazilian fighter. In an interview with Guilherme Cruz, ‘Do Bronx’ disclosed that he has to take on fighters who are way ahead of him in his division.

The Brazilian mixed martial artist said, “We have to think breathe, and calmly think about what we will do. I don’t want to look back, I want to look ahead So I have to look at the guys who are ahead in the division. So I will sit down with the organization and see what the next step is what they have and what they think.” The former lightweight champion also revealed that the fight with McGregor or Chandler would bring him quite a bit of money.
