Conor McGregor’s return has become one of the most speculated upon topics in the MMA community. However, in a recent update, it has been revealed that ‘The Notorious’ has completed multiple test sessions in 2024, indicating a possibility of his return being an ongoing process. And his opponent for the long-awaited comeback, Michael Chandler, also revealed that while he cannot provide more details, the fight is inevitable!

The UFC’s new Anti-Doping Test History database for 2024 has just received an update, revealing the fighters with the highest number of test sessions. According to a post shared on X by Jed I. Goodman, topping the list is Conor McGregor, with a total of three test sessions.

Following closely behind are Robert Bryczek, Dricus Du Plessis, Darrius Flowers, Themba Gorimbo, Max Griffin, Taylor Laplius, Nathan Landwehr, Pedro Lopes Munhoz, Mayra Silva, Sean Strickland, Joshua Thawng, Ramon Taveras, and Jeremiah Wells, each with two test sessions.

Additionally, 299 other fighters have undergone one test session this year, reflecting the UFC’s commitment to maintaining a rigorous anti-doping program across its roster with its new protocols post-USADA.

And in his recent appearance on the MMA Hour, Michael Chandler spoke to Ariel Helwani about developments on his clash with McGregor. He revealed, “This is the fight that is happening. I can’t tell you a date, I can’t tell you a weight, but I can tell you the fight is happening. And I have way too many assurances that this fight is happening to think otherwise.”

As McGregor’s comeback journey progresses and Chandler remains steadfast in his readiness, MMA enthusiasts eagerly await further developments in this highly anticipated matchup with the Irishman undergoing regular testing!

But despite his assertions that he still has no idea about the date for the fight, Chandler made waves online with his recent call-out of the Irishman at an unexpected venue!

Michael Chandler recently made headlines by unexpectedly showing up on WWE’s flagship ‘RAW’ program and delivering a fiery promo calling out Conor McGregor for their yet-to-be-scheduled fight! The former Bellator champion’s spontaneous appearance quickly went viral in both the MMA and wrestling worlds.

And during the conversation with Ariel Helwani, Chandler revealed, “… Less than five minutes (of notice). There was nothing prepared. Nothing. I was thrown into the fire. Smacked myself a couple of times and then we went.”

Despite the impromptu nature of the appearance, Chandler’s proactive approach earned him praise from WWE officials, including Triple H. However, uncertainty looms over Chandler’s potential return to the UFC to face McGregor, as UFC CEO Dana White has denied any scheduled fight between the two at this time. And so fans eagerly await further developments in this intriguing saga that has now crossed over to the WWE universe as well!
