Conor McGregor may be making his comeback soon! In a recent conversation during the ‘Day of Reckoning’ event, the Irish superstar shared his thoughts on when he was planning to return to competition. And in a stunning revelation, McGregor revealed that he is looking for worthy opponents. Moreover, he also declared that he had his eye on the legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao!

While discussions with the UFC are ongoing, the Irishman expressed eagerness for a swift comeback when asked about his timeline. And he has revealed an interesting proposition that has caused the fans to sit up and take notice! Let’s take a look at what he had to say!

Conor McGregor’s UFC return may not be finalized yet, but the Irish star is determined to return to what he does best soon. His fight against Michael Chandler was set to occur at the end of the TUF 31 where both men featured as coaches. However, issues with USADA and McGregor’s testing status led to the plans being scrapped.

But in a recent statement, McGregor has revealed that while the fight with Chandler is yet to be confirmed, he has already got his eyes set on another possible opponent!

At the ‘Day of Reckoning’ event in Riyadh, McGregor, chatting with Derek Chisora, dropped hints about his return to the UFC. “Soon, hopefully soon,” he stated about his return, and also revealed that he has been staying in constant discussions with the UFC regarding the same.

“How about me versus Manny here in Saudi?” McGregor proposed to Derek Chisora, questioning why Pacquiao shouldn’t meet him at his weight. McGregor also asserted, “Manny already owes me 8 million via court of law.”

His comments indicate that McGregor may be open to another crossover super-fight against Manny Pacquiao! While he provided no updates regarding the status of his fight with Chandler, his comments indicate that he is still working towards setting up another interesting clash!

The stage is set for McGregor’s return, but the details remain shrouded in uncertainty. McGregor has kept the audience guessing, leaving fight fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter in his unpredictable journey. And the ‘Notorious’ didn’t just propose a fight against Pacquiao, he also called him out in his trademark fashion!

McGregor wants Pacquiao to ‘square away’ his bill

During the star-studded event in Saudi Arabia, McGregor was spotted seated beside the minister of entertainment. When the conversation between the pair turned to a potential boxing match, McGregor made his intentions clear about wanting to fight Manny Pacquiao!

He stated that he wants Pacquiao to, “grow a set of b*lls” and face him at a higher weight division. And in his usual cheeky manner, McGregor questioned, “Is he a man or a mouse? Is Manny a man or a mouse?”

There hasn’t been a response from Pacquiao’s side as of yet, but the pair have expressed an interest in facing each other inside the squared circle in the past. Both men were also under the management of ‘Paradigm Sports’ for a short period of time. However, Pacquiao’s exit from the company was marked by a lawsuit which was also referenced by McGregor in his call out.

He revealed, “…and he owes me $8 million, yeah? So fight at my weight, and I’ll square that bill away.”

As the saga unfolds, McGregor’s bold challenge and the financial backstory inject anticipation into the prospect of a McGregor vs. Pacquiao clash. And with UFC 300 drawing closer every day, it remains to be seen if McGregor will face Chandler or Pacquiao first!
