Conor McGregor is not about to take his return lightly and it shows. Right after the mega pay-per-view, UFC 300 ended, Dana White had some exciting announcements to make and one of them was the confirmation of the return of ‘The Notorious’ himself.

After spending years recovering from the horrible shin break, Conor McGregor is finally ready to come back. However, the UFC CEO seemed a little bit skeptical about his recovery and eventual return. However, McGregor was quick to suspend any doubts about his leg.

Conor McGregor is kicking it just fine

Conor McGregor is one of the most efficient and powerful strikers in the UFC. His left hand is as feared as it could get and fans have witnessed him put up a striking masterclass inside of the cage. A big part of any striker’s game is usually their kick and that’s where things get a bit complicated.

The Irishman broke his leg in the first round back in 2021 up against Dustin Poirier. Since then, things have been downhill. Dana White recently announced that he will be returning against Michael Chandler at welterweight as opposed to the previously announced middleweight bout by McGregor himself.

But White also understood that returning from the injury could make a difference. “I think when you look at that injury, it’s happened in UFC,” he told the press. “We just saw Chris Weidman come back, Anderson came back from it, you saw. You’ve seen it in football. It’s it’s probably one of the nastiest injuries that you could possibly get . . . it’s a nasty injury and it’s a rough recovery too. It’s a really rough recovery.”

McGregor’s last confirmation was real

Dana White had a sly smirk on his face as he announced the UFC 303 main event between Chandler and Conor McGregor. He knew that the people wanted this and finally, it was coming. This means that when the Irishman said that his return was “all systems go” he was not kidding.

Fans were taken a bit aback because a return was announced multiple times only to not be confirmed. But this time around, it is right from the horse’s mouth, the final UFC boss himself. He also announced other bouts such as Islam Makhachev vs. Dustin Poirier‘s headliner at UFC 302. The pay-per-view will also see Sean Strickland take on Paulo Costa for the co-main event as well.
