While having a media session with ‘The Mac Life’ to promote the film, Gyllenhaal confessed that he liked McGregor’s inclusion in the movie. However, he added that he was a bit apprehensive before shooting one of their fights.“I think what’s so interesting is that feeling, but also the opposite, you know? That’s what’s so cool about this movie – bringing these two worlds together. You know, all of a sudden, the sort of fictional world of the movies, and then the reality of the UFC, and someone like Conor’s coming into the space, and us having that fight together,” said Gyllenhaal.

He further added, “That moment where that first shot we ever shot was us, the headbutt shot, right face to face. I thought to myself, ‘What am I doing? This is crazy.’ And then I thought, you know, I have done a lot of stuff in my given field, and so I have to come in. So the look I gave back to him as we both settle down, settle down.”
In the ͏movie, Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor McGregor battle it out in intense toe-to-toe fights, and this was evident from the action-packed trailer. It’s natural for any actor to face the challenge of shooting a fighting scene, especially when working alongside a former dual-weight UFC champion, considering a mistimed blow could land one in the hospital. Interestingly, it was McGregor’s debut as well and according to him, acting is just as tough as martial arts.

McGregor confesses to being lost while acting
Acting seems to be as difficult a task as fighting per Conor McGregor. The former dual weight champion, in his latest confession with ‘Good Morning Britain’, asserted that his debut was not a cakewalk for him. The Dubliner revealed that he approached his debut as he would have approached his MMA training.
“It was an amazing experience, a lot of hard work, you know, a lot of humbling hard work and I approached it like I would approach my martial arts training, I am a novice at this, I’ve never done a movie before so I am akin to a white belt, a beginner. So I just went in I took direction well and I gave my all,” said McGregor. His approach to acting seems to have worked for him as McGregor’s debut was loved by many and even Gyllenhaal stated that he loved McGregor’s tenacity.
