The fight started off pretty well, with both fighters trading strikes at each other. At one point, Gaethje almost got rocked with one of Poirier’s shots. However, the first ended with ‘The Highlight’ receiving a cut on the side of his head. The second started off slowly, but then came a surprise. Justin Gaethje landed a head kick, reminiscent of Leon Edwards‘s head kick on Kamaru Usman at UFC 278.
