

Conor McGregor has been hyping up his return in the past few months, after being away for over a year. The star has been away from UFC action after he broke his leg in his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier in 2021. McGregor’s leg looks like it has healed up well and the fighter is back in the gym, to train for a comeback.

The former UFC double division champion took to his Instagram story recently to share a video of him training. McGregor was hitting the pads and practicing his boxing skills at a hotel in Monaco.

McGregor seemed extremely light on his feet and maintained good footwork in the video clip he posted. The fighter had his boxing gloves on and was hitting the pads in the gym of the Fairmont Hotel in Monaco.

Conor McGregor was visiting the country to attend the famous Formula One event of the Monaco Grand Prix. In an interview that went viral online of him in Monaco, the fighter spoke about his healing process and gave fans an update of his return.

The fighter claimed that after his CT scans come back clear he will return to training MMA. He said, “the body’s doing good. I’m out here my full team you know. Obviously, I’m enjoying the Monaco Grand Prix and then you know. After that, we’re going to up the training a little bit, bit by bit.”
He added, “I should be able to kick now. Another CT scan now in the coming days and then I’ll be clear to kick. Once I can kick and grapple, I’ll be back in no time. So boxing training has gone well and strength training and that so I’m excited to get back.”

McGregor is one of the best strikers in the UFC. His fight on the standup ground is extremely quick and intelligent, which helped him become a double champion in the promotion.

In his interview, the fighter also shared his thoughts on making a return to the sport of boxing. He said, “boxing is my first love in combat sports. I had such a great time the last time I was out there… I will grace the squared circle again in the future.”
