Conor McGregor gave an infamous quote, ‘how much money is enough money,’ which suggested the Irishman’s vision of not staying content with how much he has earned. Likewise, he doesn’t care when it comes to spending money.

McGregor was an all-out star from the get-go. His persona and fluid performances made him the richest UFC athlete.

GQ magazine featured ‘The Notorious‘ in their column when the Irishman captured the rarest of achievements in the UFC to become the promotion’s first-ever simultaneous double champion.

The boy from the streets of Ireland talked about an incident to GQ that went down at a Dolce & Gabbana store in Los Angeles.

Apparently, ‘The Notorious’ spent $27K during his shopping. But moreover, it was his eighth visit to the store, and he spent around the same for all of his visits.

While McGregor didn’t think twice about spending such a sum, he strangely had multiple calls from the store. McGregor didn’t like the calls, especially when the staff missed billing a pocket square, and they wanted his card again.

“I’m dropping $27,000. It’s about my eighth time in the last week. And you can’t drop, like, a pocket square in? Are you f***ing serious?!” McGregor showed his frustration.

While the Irishman was upset about a pocket square, a big boxing bout with Floyd Mayweather was waiting in the wings. In addition, McGregor wanted a conversation about UFC’s deal of $4.2 billion with the WME-IMG.

The GQ interview also saw ‘The Notorious’ discuss the UFC getting sold for $4.2 billion. A company that was going into multi-million losses, eventually, saw an unimaginable deal.

And it came, in 2016, after all the Ronda Rousey championship bouts, and the Irishman putting on performances one after the other. Thus, he wonders how much was it his contribution.

Even during the UFC 205 post-fight press conference, he raised the question, “Where is my share? Where is my equity?”

Thus, he wanted a piece of the ownership in the company or at least the recognition for his efforts.
