Many wealthy people have a penchant for incredible watches. UFC star Conor McGregor is no different. The fighter has a collection of expensive watches and can be seen flaunting them time and again. However, it looks like he took some inspiration from Jada Pinkett Smith’s reported old flame Tupac Shakur.

‘Superwatchman’ on Instagram shared a picture of McGregor and Shakur sporting the same watch. As per the post, the watch is a 36mm Rolex Day-Date in yellow gold. In a close-up picture, pavé diamonds could be seen encrusted on the watch’s bracelet.

The watch’s bezel surrounds a green ombre baguette diamond dial. Its market price is said to be around $130,000 USD.

The Irish fighter liked the post and shared it on his Instagram story. Thus, the Irish fighter is happy to own the same watch that the late rapper used to. After all, the post claimed the rapper to be someone “who was way ahead of his time” when it came to watches.

It also seems like the fighter is a big ‘2pac’ fan. He lost against Nate Diaz at UFC 196. But during their rematch, McGregor managed to win the fight via a unanimous decision.

During their pre-fight conference, ‘The Notorious’ used Tupac Shakur’s lines to take digs at Diaz and his fans. As reported by ‘Fox Sports‘, McGregor taunted his opponent’s fans by doing a ‘Scarface’ impression before the question-and-answer session with the media.

Before leaving the stage, the Irish fighter did his best Tupac Shakur impression and quotes the rapper’s diss track from 1996 ‘Hit Em Up’. Thus, it looks like the fighter has been an avid follower of the late American rapper.

While it is clear that he likes 2pac’s work, some of his hard-core fans might wonder about his taste in music. In a 2015 interview with ESPN, McGregor shared the kind of music that interests him. As per the fighter, he had been listening to hip-hop and rap music when in the US.
