Jorge Masvidal, one of the most celebrated and decorated fighters in the UFC, recently ended his 20-year-long MMA career at UFC 287 in his hometown. The stage was set in the Miami-Dade arena for the iconic fighter to bid farewell to his loyal fans in front of a packed arena, but unfortunately, his last fight against Gilbert Burns did not end in his favor. Masvidal lost the bout by unanimous decision, leaving his fans and admirers disappointed.

After the fight, Masvidal announced his retirement, marking the end of a remarkable career in the UFC, where he made his debut a decade ago. Even the promotional frontman Dana White acknowledged Masvidal’s contribution to the sport and talked about the highlights of his career. Drake showers praise on Jorge Masvidal post his retirement

Drake is an avid follower of UFC and frequently wagers bets on the big fights in the promotion. He is often seen on the side of ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor during his fights. Despite his busy schedule, he takes time out to catch the latest events and keeps up with his favorite fighters.

As a fan of the sport, Drake took to his Instagram story to pay homage to Jorge Masvidal post his retirement and wrote, “Street legend. UFC goat. Hats of to a great man @gamebredfighter”, showing his respect and admiration for the veteran fighter.

Even though Drake had placed a bet on Masvidal in his fight against Brazilian Burns, luck was not on his side. Nevertheless, Drake did not let this setback deter him from showing respect to the ‘Gamebred’.
