Conor McGregor Takes Notice of “Real Fighting Legend” Nick Diaz’s Gesture Towards Cancer-Stricken Patients

Conor McGregor took to his official Instagram account and posted an appreciation text for Nate’s older brother and UFC legend, Nick Diaz, for his philanthropy work.
‘The Notorious’ retweeted the user’s tweet on his page. Originally a cancer survivor, Scott Nelson, who now helps cancer patients, made an Instagram post thanking Nick Diaz for helping patients at a hospital.

“Shout out and big thanks 🙏 to @nickdiaz209 for coming to speak to our cancer patients at @chipsahospitaloffical about fighting fear and staying strong 💪🏻 during a fight!” Nelson wrote in the caption.

Later, the Twitter user posted a screenshot of Nelson’s post while shedding light on the good side of the UFC star. He wrote, “Good guy Nick Diaz. The side that doesn’t get shown enough.”

After acknowledging the tweet, McGregor retweeted it on his own account and wrote, “Real fighting legend,” in the caption.
Conor McGregor and Nick Diaz have mutual respect for each other despite Nate Diaz’s rivalry
The rivalry between Nate Diaz and the Irish star McGregor is one of the most vicious in the promotion’s history. They have crossed paths twice in their career and have been involved in heavy trash talks in the lead-up to the fights.

However, this is not the case between McGregor and Nate’s older brother, Nick. ‘The Notorious’ and Stockton’s elder child have mutual respect for each other, which fans saw during an old UFC press conference in 2014.
When asked about McGregor’s fighting style, Nick gave a short and on-point answer, which had the crowd laughing. He said, “I like it.”

Similarly, while answering the same question about Nick, ‘The Notorious’ replied, “I like it too.” Apparently, the former two-division champion has spoken highly about Nick more than once.
McGregor has even admitted in an interview that he loves Nick and his never-back-down fighting style. He even stated that one could not be a real fight fan if he doesn’t love the UFC legend.
