Conor McGregor Trashes TUF 31 Winner and Calls for Immediate Rematch As Kurt Holobaugh Sets His Aims at Paddy Pimblett After UFC 292

UFC 292 kept the fans on the edges of their seats with Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley going against each other in the main event. However, the event also featured the finale of The Ultimate Fighter season 31. The entropy of the MMA world began rising as Kurt Holobaugh defeated Austin Hubbard with a triangle choke in the second round and became TUF lightweight winner. 

The lightweight fight commenced with Hubbard sending a kick and Holobaugh dodging it. Hubbard was quick to take down his opponent and the two grappled to take control of the fight. Holobaugh didn’t take much time to recover and escape from Hubbard’s clutches. After exchanging a few more strikes, Hubbard executed a successful single-leg takedown, and tried to choke out his opponent. But Holobaugh wasn’t willing to go down.

‘Thud’ initiated the second round by sending a flurry of punches, but Holobaugh was quick to evade and return the favor. Soon, Hubbard tried a takedown, but wasn’t successful. However, things quickly turned in Holobaugh’s favor. He took down ‘Thud’ and struggled to take control of his opponent’s back.

Soon, Hubbard escaped and but Holobaugh wasn’t letting him go anytime soon. During the escape, Holobaugh switched to an armbar, but quickly transitioned to a triangle choke. Hubbard had no choice but to tap out and accept defeat. The lightweight battle of TUF season 31 went to Holobaugh.

Following his spectacular victory, Holobaugh sent a call-out to Paddy Pimblett and sent waves of cheers through the crowd. However, not everyone was pleased with the match. As the fighter from Michael Chandler‘s team won the lightweight trophy, Conor McGregor was not happy at all. He took to Twitter and sent a message to ‘Iron’.

McGregor further took his shots at Holobaugh and dismissed him as a victor. He wanted an immediate rematch.

As the fighter called out for Pimblett, the MMA world also began wishing that ‘The Baddy’ accepts the fight.

One of the fans was wondering why does Pimblett have so many enemies.

The fighter’s prowess was greatly appreciated by the MMA community. Not only his striking but also the level of grappling he demonstrated was highly appreciated.

The fight was indeed a great end to TUF 31.

While The Ultimate Fighter came to an end, it was time for the fans to wait for the main events. It was indeed the fight between O’Malley and Sterling that had the attention of the fans.
