In April 2024, Conor McGregor acquired a minority stake in the David Feldman-led BKFC. Since then, the former dual-weight champion has become a core member of the promotion, actively promoting various events and elevating the brand’s intensity. McGregor has been working tirelessly to position BKFC as one of the biggest combat sports entertainment platforms in the world. Interestingly, ahead of their marquee event in Italy, McGregor has teased another BKFC masterclass.

Conor McGregor took to his Instagram handle to drop a huge update about BKFC. The former UFC lightweight champion shared a photo of the BKFC Omaha teaser on his story and captioned it, “We don’t coast, baby. Let’s go, Bare Knuckle FC!” BKFC will be returning to Omaha after nearly six months on 18th April. The promotion has yet to announce the fight card, and even their website remains empty regarding any fight news.

Well, things are heating up in the BKFC as even Conor McGregor is willing to fight within the promotion now, “If you think I’m up here giving these speeches and leading these men into battle and I won’t step in there myself, think again. For sure Conor McGregor will fight in Bareknuckle Fighting Championship. Mark my words.”

The former UFC champ has been trying to make a comeback since 2021, but it appears that it will finally happen because even Dana White has emphasized that he could fight in the BKFC if it gets him back into the combat sports scene. Interestingly, even a UFC insider believes that Conor McGregor’s comeback might be closer than one can think.

Chael Sonnen issues green light to Conor McGregor’s comeback

“I just got a call from a very very inside source. Now this might be all over the websites already, maybe you guys know this. I’m driving, I just got a call, I haven’t seen it anywhere- Conor McGregor has been green-lit to compete in bare-knuckle fighting,” revealed Chael Sonnen on his YouTube handle talking about McGregor’s return to the combat sports scene.

If Conor McGregor fights under BKFC management, it would mark a significant shift in his MMA career. As ‘Notorious,’ his precise striking would come under test against the best in the world—this time, without gloves and this news has intrigued Chael Sonnen, “I mean that’s very interesting to me. If Conor McGregor was, in fact, green-lit… we would have to assume that there is a fight out there for him. We would have to assume that he did not go to the effort to get a carve-out and get legal permission… unless there was an offer and a plan. However, we don’t know that and that is a bit of an interesting concept.”

When it comes to the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), there’s only one fight that’s truly worthy of Conor McGregor’s attention—Mike Perry. Will the promotion book a fight between Perry and McGregor in the future? State your thoughts in the comments below.
