Piers Morgan criticizes the investigation into Conor McGregor
A few days ago, the country of Ireland was shocked by a violent crime against three children and two adults. As a result of this, riots broke out on the streets of Dublin, Ireland. Conor McGregor, who has always showcased support for his country, made some controversial comments on this incident.
Soon, the country’s police started investigating ‘The Notorious’ for his remarks. Recently, popular media personality Piers Morgan addressed this issue along with political journalist Ava Santina. In their conversation, Santina highlighted the past controversies surrounding the UFC star. However, she criticized the Irish police’s move to investigate McGregor over a tweet.

“To tweet something and then be investigated for it frightens me because it’s setting a quite dangerous precedent,” she said. Moreover, Morgan showcased his support towards the Irishman. “I actually like Conor McGregor for what he’s worked,” he said. “Are we overstretching now in the way we police these things?” he added. While the world continues to discuss this shocking development, Conor McGregor has not made any comments about the investigation.

When Conor McGregor called out the Irish government
A few months ago, ‘Ladbible Ireland’ posted a Eurostat report, stating that Ireland held the top spot for the highest prices in household final consumption expenditures across European countries. Moreover, the report highlighted a staggering 146 percent difference compared to the European Union average.

Further, the surge in prices was attributed to alcohol, tobacco, energy, transportation, and communication costs. McGregor expressed his discontent with this news on his Instagram story. He labeled it as “quite ridiculous” and placed blame on the government. “Shame on our Government,” he added.
