Ariel Helwani has been under fire a lot in recent times. Most notably as a result of his recent argument with Paddy Pimblett, who branded the MMA journalist as biased and accused him of profiting off of other fighters. 2022 isn’t ending on a particularly good note for Helwani. And pushing the streak further, Conor McGregor‘s ally Dillon Danis, decided to partake in the bandwagon.

Recently, the MMA journalist sent out a tweet. But that was enough for Dillon Danis to pull Helwani into a tough situation, as he put up a picture of Helwani with O. J. Simpson, in response to the former’s tweet. Given the severe controversies that surround Simpson, it is going to be difficult for Helwani to tackle this one. But it certainly made fans compliment Danis‘ funny side, which is not the case most of the time.

Dillon Danis recently appeared on ‘The MMA Hour’ With Ariel Helwani, where the MMA journalist left no stone unturned in poking fun at the Bellator star.

Dillon Danis made a stinging remark about Ariel Helwani

Ariel Helwani put out a tweet after Dillon Danis was on his show, which cryptically took digs at the latter. And Dillon Danis decided to add a flavor of controversy to this tweet. Danis sent out a question for Helwani, along with a picture of him with O. J. Simpson. While the MMA journalist usually has a rebuttal for almost everything that’s thrown at him, this one is going to be quite a handful.

The Bellator star wrote, “how many showers did you take after this incident?” 

Now that is one tricky predicament to find yourself in. However, Dillon Danis did just that and put the media personality on the spot.

Dillon Danis usually receives a lot of shade for his tweets. But with this one, he changed the course of the wind on Helwani. So much so that he even managed to impress the sharp-witted UFC veteran, Jake Shields.

Even Jake Shields seemed impressed with Dillon Danis

Along with a number of his followers, ‘El Jefe managed to impress one of the most outspoken personalities coming from the UFC: Jake Shields.

Shields is known to be incredibly blunt about his opinions. And to get praise for something that appears to be his domain is a big deal. But again, given his demeanor, it can’t be a straight-up compliment. That’s not how it works with him.

Shields tweeted, “A rare moment where Dillon says something funny. On a separate note you should fight Mike Jackson, the only fight you can win and people will actually cheer for you.”

Along with the compliment, the UFC veteran suggested Danis to fight Mike Jackson, who was recently engaged in a nasty altercation with the Shields.

Call-outs and feuds are all the part and parcel of being in this business. And who better to know that than Ariel Helwani, who somehow finds himself in a controversy every now and then.
