Coach Kavanagh and Coach Roddy were present in the latest interview on The MacLife wherein they shared what they think about Michael Chandler. The Irish coach made a comparison of Chandler with one of McGregor’s past opponents. The SBG coach said, “I’ve said it already. It’s like he’s a big Chand Mendes…”.

Additionally, Kavanagh listed the qualities he finds similar in Chandler and Mendes. He added, “He’s like a bigger Chad Mendes to me. Similar build, it’s like he’s like Chad that’s just grown up a bit. But a little wild with the hands. Maybe even wilder than Chad Mendes was. Energy, the wrestling movements, and takedowns cost a lot of energy.”

Furthermore, the SBG Coach concluded by saying, “Good ground and pound so yeah I think I don’t see a huge difference in terms of strategy and technique and what to fear and what to look for in both of those fighters and we did pretty well against Chad.”

Kavanagh seems to be confident in McGregor against Chandler in their potential bout.
