Most fighters fall into obscurity after they leave the UFC, but that didn’t happen with the former UFC welterweight/middleweight. After bowing out of Dana White’s promotion following a three-fight losing skid, ‘The Gorilla’ decided to leave MMA and dive into the world of boxing, in which he’s been successful and getting people talking. But now, fans are starting to believe that Till may make his next move after a conversation he had with Conor McGregor.

As we know, MMA doesn’t pay as well as boxing does, which is exactly what Darren Till has been looking for since his departure from the UFC. He even mentioned getting “crazy big offers” to compete in the boxing ring. Meanwhile, Till could see himself moving away from gloved boxing to bare-knuckle as he was seen talking to Conor McGregor, who asked him about his weight class.

Conor McGregor asked, “What weight you fighting?” It appears that the Irishman is looking to add Darren Till to the BKFC roster, given that he’s one of the few fighters who’ve made a lot of noise in his post-UFC career. However, it appeared that Till and McGregor were having some communication issues because ‘The Gorilla’ would reply to the Irishman by talking about where he was at the point of that FaceTime call instead of revealing his weight class. “I’m in Columbia,” he said.

To Conor McGregor, Colombia sounded a bit different to him, and instead, he heard the name of another country, as he asked Till, “What the hell are u doing in Mexico?” To this, the Liverpudlian responded, “I’m on a job, mate. Don’t worry,” revealing that he had some business down in South America.

It did not take much time for the fans to speculate about what the phone call with Conor McGregor was all about. However, the first thing that came to their minds was, of course, him fighting in the Irishman’s promotion. Here’s what they had to say.

A move to bare-knuckle doesn’t look like it is out of the question for the fans when it comes to ‘The Gorilla’, who’s been boxing for a while now. On that note, a couple of fans added, “Till to BKFC confirmed,” and “We’ll probably see Till in BKFC after Misfits,” highlighting their interest in watching Till fight inside the BKFC squared circle.

On the other hand, the phone call between Darren Till and Conor McGregor signified something else. Some fans believe that both fighters respect each other’s authenticity and genuineness, as one X user wrote, “Real recognize real.” They also did not shy away from mentioning they could not catch their thick accents, and that the only people who understood what was spoken between the two UFC veterans were Till and McGregor themselves. “Only they can understand each other.”

Meanwhile, the prospect of watching Conor McGregor and Darren Till in the same press conference seemed enticing to a lot of fans if they were to fight each other. That’s especially because both UFC veterans are exceptional on the microphone. “Could you imagine the scenes of a fight press conference between Conor & Till at 185?” As a fan wrote that on X, another fan weighed in on Till’s fighting career, claiming that continuing his boxing endeavor is the way to go for ‘The Gorilla’.
