Muay Thai is a martial art style known for its use of powerful strikes, including punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, as well as clinching techniques. The MMA world has accepted a lot of Muay Thai moves and fans follow the grass root developments closely. A video has now been shared from the Muay Thai ring that has attracted a lot of reactions from fans.

The video showed a fighter landing a near-perfect front kick on his opponent’s face. The kick’s intensity was enough to drop the opponent. While Fans compared the winning fighter with American Rapper NLE Choppa and were full of appreciation for the spectacular kick.

MMA Fans react to highlight kick

The front kick had enough venom in it to drop the opponent. It also appeared that the referee stopped the fight after the kick.

Looking at the kick, controversy’s favorite child and Bellator MMA fighter Dillon Danis, commented, “whenever I see any you that hate on me”. 

It also reminded fans of Gerard Butler’s blockbuster flick ‘300’. A fan commented, Sparta kick to the face”

A fan had a great caption for the highlight reel-worthy kick. The comment read, If you don’t move your head, he’ll move it for you.”

Another fan commented, “Muay Thai don’t fool around”.

The kick was a prime example of “one and done” according to a fan.

It surprised some NLE Choppa fans to see the fighters look alike and asked, “Nle choppa fights?”

How Muay Thai Left its mark on MMA

Muay Thai has had a significant impact on MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) as a combat sport. This is because Muay Thai provides a strong striking foundation that is highly effective in stand-up fighting, which is a key component of MMA. Fighters also have the advantage of clinching techniques that can be used for takedowns and throw-downs.

The UFC world has seen some great fighters like Anderson Silva, who came from a Muay Thai background and took over the MMA scene.

Valentina Shevchenko, who will feature at UFC 285 against Alexa Grasso, has also trained in Muay Thai, rising Bantamweight and Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s cousin Umar Nurmagomedov is also known for his Muay Thai skills.
