The fighter has been attempting a comeback to the world of combat sports, but it appears he now harbors a new aspiration. ‘Mystic Mac’ has recently expressed a willingness to enter politics. However, the certainty of this development is definitely uncertain, placing the SBG gym in a somewhat awkward position.

The recent stabbing incident in Irelan͏d has sparked a significant wave of criticism, particularly from groups that the authorities have labeled as far-right. Many citizens expressing their discontent have focused on the assailant’s reported ori͏gin. ‘The Notorious’ in a series of tweets fueled the nation’s conservative sentiments and asserted that he would be running for politics. The stabbing attack was a wake-up call for the Irish nationalists, with the aftermath of the event being a nationwide violent protest for better immigration rules. Conor McGregor was one of such individuals who made comments about these protests, explaining through a series of posts that Ireland required stringent laws as well as better politicians in the parliament.

After the event calmed down, McGregor through social media claimed that he is considering entering into politics. McGregor garnered considerable public backing for his outspoken stance on the Dublin riots.’The Notorious’ even didn’t shy away from criticizing several prominent political figures in Ireland. McGregor’s political stance put SBG gym conditions in the doldrums.

Coach John Kavanagh had to come forward and issue a statement that the gym carries on its operations despite anyone else’s political inclination. Kavanagh took to his X(Formerly Twitter) handle to write “To those enquiring @SBG_Ireland will continue in 2024 having no interest in our members’ political affiliations, s**ual orientation, or religious persuasion. We just ask you don’t be an a**hole. To those on the left or right who would try and intimidate me, good luck with that” 

McGregor’s statement about his potential political career appears to be gen͏uin͏e, yet the ͏timing of his actual candidacy remains ͏uncertain. Even the CEO of Space͏X and Tesla has expressed support for McGregor’s decision.

Elon Musk approves McGregor’s political actions

The comments made by McGregor at the trio of other mature hopefuls competing for the position currently held by President Michael D. Higgins, found support from the controversial CEO Elon Musk. Musk took to his X(formerly Twitter) handle to add a comment supporting McGregor. “I think you could take them all single-handed. Not even fair,” Musk quoted with laughing emojis.

In a detailed reply to the CEO of SpaceX, McGregor highlighted the challenging journey ͏toward securing the nomination. Despite acknowledging the tedio͏us nature of ͏the processes, he expressed a firm belief in achieving success once the hurdles ͏were overcome.”I’d fancy my chances Elon, 100%” said McGregor.
