UFC fighter Conor McGregor is regarded as one of the biggest stars in the sporting world. ‘The Notorious’ has garnered a tremendous fan following and is one of the richest athletes in sports. Paradigm Sports manage the Irishman’s career in his MMA and business endeavors.

The Vice President of MMA for Paradigm sports, Tim Simpson, recently sat down for an interview with MMA Junkie. The manager brought up the comparisons on the Irishman’s star power, with current UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.

Tim Simpson was asked about Adesanya’s current stardom, to which he replied, “Yeah, I mean he’s transcended MMA now. He’s done that a few years ago to be fair.”

Israel Adesanya is currently undefeated at Welterweight and has held the title since late 2019. Simpson also touched upon the 33-year-old’s commercial growth, as he said, “But you know huge amount of opportunities commercially. You know he’s working with major blue chip sponsors and partners for a very long time.”

The manager also touched upon Izzy’s potential Hollywood opportunities, as he said, “You know we’ve had opportunities in Hollywood that we’ve had to turn down based on schedule, etc.”

Simpson later brought about comparing the Welterweight champion’s star power to that of Conor McGregor.

“He’s the most sought after guy, you know, outside of Conor he’s really leading the charge in this sport for notoriety for star power and it’s a credit to him and his personality and everything he’s built.”

The manager rounded up the discussion by mentioning how Izzy will be looking to reach new heights in terms of his star power.

“He can be a brand ambassador for anybody. He’s great on camera and he just treats people really well… and obviously what he does athletically is a driver for that too.”

When Conor McGregor declined a role in Hollywood

Paradigm Sports fighter Conor McGregor was also offered certain roles in Hollywood. Reportedly, it was confirmed that McGregor would be appearing in the famous Game of Thrones series in 2016. Although many speculations were made about the Irishman’s character, talks eventually died out, as McGregor confirmed that it was all a rumor.

The UFC star is, however, set to make his Hollywood debut soon, as announcements have been made regarding his role in Jake Gyllenhaal’s new film, ‘Road House’. Although ‘The Notorious’ character has not been confirmed, the announcement has generated a lot of talks online.
