Have you ever played any combat game where one could make enhancements to double the power of the fighter? Well, it seems like the same is happening with Conor McGregor or that’s what the former dual-weight champion thinks. ‘Mystic Mac’ is about to clash against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29th after months of anticipation. Interestingly, according to McGregor, he has a weapon in his arsenal that has yet to be used in any of his fights.

What is that weapon you ask? Well, it’s the titanium rod on his shin. The former dual-weight champion stated in his latest take that he would be putting his titanium shin to the test against Chandler. Ahead of their clash, let’s see what McGregor had to say about his game plan.

Conor McGregor Channels His Inner ‘Terminator’

The last time Conor McGregor stepped into the Octagon, he suffered a bad injury as he broke his leg in his fight against Dustin Poirier back in 2021. ‘Notorious’ had to say bye-bye to the Octagon for 3 years after the incident. The doctors advised McGregor to have a titanium rod inserted into his shin to make it more stable, and that’s exactly what the former dual-weight champion did.

However, is McGregor’s shin good to go now? Well, ‘Mystic Mac’ had no problems while training and seems fine with it. Interestingly, according to Conor McGregor, his titanium shin just made him better and he is going to channel his inner terminator in his class against Michael Chandler. “I am Terminator now. I have a titanium rod that goes into the knee and down to the bone, right down to my ankle. It’s unbreakable… I wish for and I will work for landing this kick with this steel bar in my leg against an opponent and getting them out of there,” said McGregor.

He further added, “I want to see a picture of myself in the octagon with my leg broken, and then I want to see a picture of myself in the octagon with my leg wrapped around my opponent’s neck or head and putting him out and side by side.” ‘Notorious’ has a knack for using his karate kicks to injure his opponents and as per McGregor, these new enhancements might work in his favor rather than against him.

Additionally, Conor McGregor’s teammates are bullish on his win. ‘Notorious’s sparring partner has dropped hints of how the former dual weight champion is going to finish Chandler inside the Octagon.

The comeback of one of the greats of the sport is set to have a significant impact on the future of the promotion and Conor McGregor is planning to make it as noteworthy as ever. According to McGregor’s sparring partner, Brendan Loughnane, he has seen enough to know where to place his bets in the comeback fight. Loughnane sparred with McGregor in Dubai and shared a detailed analysis of his take.

“I think he’s going to knock the f*ck out of Michael Chandler, just overwhelms and batters him. I think he is too sharp and well-rounded. Chandler is going to come for a brawl, but Conor is too experienced on the outside. I think he will catch him on the way in, and then it’s see you later.” said Brendan Loughnane in his admiration of McGregor’s skills.
