Chael Sonnen, just like any other fight fan, believes that it’s an interesting proposition to have the Irishman headline the UFC 300 card. Mostly as he is the biggest star that the UFC has to offer. But, Sonnen seems to believe that the possibility is quite low as he states, I do think we will have a title fight in the main event. And Conor McGregor doesn’t have a title. So now if you put Conor on the card, you’re putting your biggest star not in the headliner? Well, you just demoted your top guy, so I think that eliminates Connor.”

‘The American Gangster’ believes that the UFC is aiming for former UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya to make a return at UFC 300. The reason being, I believe that the big rush on getting DDP and Strickland together is because Adesanya is coming back. I don’t buy the out till 2027 [claim].”

“Another big draw the marketing department dropped the ball on, it’s Chimaev. We’ve had three media darlings, through Chimaev’s level. Chimaev himself, Ronda Rousey, and Conor McGregor… I do think that you could, you could bring that back and I do think he’s main event worthy,” stated Sonnen as he poised Khamzat Chimaev as a worthy contender to headline the UFC 300 event.

The UFC sure has kept people in suspense. And for good reason, as all the speculation is making people more intrigued about the UFC 300 card. And with the Head Honcho of the UFC promising fans with another major news, fans are certainly excited, to say the very least.

Dana White teases fans for UFC 300, also promising a place for one fighter on the card

UFC CEO, Dana White, in an interview with TNT Sports, told MMA journalist Adam Catterall how insane the UFC 300 card is going to be. White claimed that the card is set to be filled with big fights, even going as far as to state how “insane” even the first fight of the prelims is supposed to be.

Though White didn’t confirm whether Conor McGregor would fight on the card, he did promise Adam Catterall to put Jim Miller on the UFC 300 card. This happened as Catterall suggested how amazing it would be to see Miller fight on the card as he fought in both the UFC 100 and 200 cards.
