Dillon Danis, the undefeated Bellator fighter, took a dig at the surging UFC welterweight Khamzat Chimaev. The 28-year-old mixed martial artist is currently inactive in his professional career. He has competed in two Bellator fights and won both via a submission. Danis has recently undergone knee surgeries and is out of action since 2019.

However, this is not the case in his social media accounts. The Bellator fighter is quite active on social media. And despite being out of action, Danis keeps calling out several other fighters on the internet. He also gets involved in Twitter wars with various fighters. The most recent is his feud with famous MMA journalist Ariel Helwani.

Today Danis called out the surging UFC prospect, Khamzat Chimaev. He posted a photoshopped picture of the Russian-born. And while trolling him, Danis wrote, “I wanna fight @KChimaev so bad the guy is the biggest tool ever. Even if he took me, down he wouldn’t last a round in my guard.”

With no losses in the promotion, ‘Borz’ has finished all of his four opponents, three in the very first round of the fight. He recently delivered a dominant performance at UFC 267, securing a first-round finish. Ever since then, the Russian-born is waiting for his next opponent.

Khamzat Chimaev will soon be back to UFC action

Besides obliterating his opponents inside the UFC cage, ‘Borz’ has been asking for more and more fights from the promotion. Earlier, the UFC faced difficulties finding him an opponent.

However, now the Chechen star has a name that matches his fighting style. ‘The Wolf’ has been in a back-and-forth on the internet with the Brazilian welterweight Gilbert Burns for some time.

Interestingly, both the 170lbs combatants have verbally agreed to fight. Hence, the promotion is looking to make this matchup. However, the fight is yet to be announced officially.

Both Burns and Chimaev are some of the best wrestlers in the welterweight division. Therefore, this bout will surely be a delightful treat for the fight fans if it comes to fruition.
