However, things have turned a bit sour with his intentions regarding a new venture. 

Yes indeed! We’re talking about the former UFC double champion’s plans to buy OnlyFans. The adult-content platform is reportedly looking for a sale, and the value has gone up to a whopping $8 billion. And ‘Mystic Mac’ announced, “I am in serious talks to buy this.” Needless to say, these words took the entire world by surprise. Of course, OnlyFans has witnessed a massive rise in revenue. Back in 2023, the London-based company disclosed a pre-tax profit of $658 million. No doubt, the cash flow has remained reliable and is definitely in the positive aspect. But the major concern lay around McGregor’s role in the potential sale of the company. 

On 26 May 2025, Full Violence took to Instagram and shared a picture of the former UFC champ-champ, along with a logo of OnlyFans. The text on the picture highlighted the Irish mixed martial artist’s claims regarding the sale of OF. And the caption read, “Conor McGregor wants to run OnlyFans after the owner put it up for sale The brand’s value is estimated to be around $8 billion.” Soon after the post went online, McGregor shared it on his IG Story. 

And as expected, the fighting community took over the comments section of the Instagram post. But what caught the fans’ attention was nothing but doubt. Let’s take a look at what the fight fans had to say about McGregor’s desire to buy OF.

McGregor’s net worth is around $200 million, and the potential sale value of OF is $8 billion. The difference between these two numbers is pretty significant. And that’s what the fans noticed as well. Even though net worth doesn’t really mean that the entity has that particular amount of money lying around, the fans believed that McGregor was incapable of buying OnlyFans. One of the fans wrote, “He doesn’t have that much money.” Another fan commented, “Conor does NOT have 8 billion.” One more fan added to the notion and wrote, “His worth is about 200 millions how will he pay 8 billions haha.”

Meanwhile, a few of the fans speculated that if McGregor actually succeeds in buying OF, he might post fighting videos on the platform. One of the fans commented, “Bro about to make us stream his fights on OF.” Another fan substantiated it and wrote, “Bro should buy it and post fighting videos.” No doubt, the excitement around the deal was as big as the shadow of doubt around it.
