Former double champion Henry Cejudo didn’t get the result he expected at UFC 288. He missed out on the opportunity to become a two-time bantamweight champion after losing to Aljamain Sterling via a split decision. Conor McGregor took to social media to take a jibe at ‘Triple C’ following his UFC comeback loss. But Cejudo fired back some shots of his own.
During the pre-fight press conference for UFC 288, reporters asked Cejudo if he will ever consider training with the Irishman. However, the Olympic Gold medalist wasn’t too keen on that on that idea, but he did share feedback on McGregor‘s fighting style. Moreover, after his UFC 288 loss, ‘The Notorious’ didn’t miss the opportunity to mock ‘Triple C’ with his own feedback.

The former lightweight champ didn’t hesitate to mock the 36-year-old, following the outcome of the main event last weekend. He shared a video, which was later deleted, making fun of Cejudo‘s performance, McGregor even offered him some advice in a very insincere manner. He said, “Okay, Henry, this one’s for you… I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. You went here like this, right? And you were doing this, and I was like, ‘What the f*** is that? I have never seen that. Man, this guy is a f***ing genius, yeah?'”

Conor McGregor then told ‘Triple C’ what he should have done to win the fight. “You were doing this really well, yeah? If you have just done this way, man, you [could have] got a clean shot, bro.” It was nothing new from the Irishman, as he never misses out on an opportunity to take a dig at people who aren’t on good terms with him.
‘Triple C’ fires back at the Irishman
Henry Cejudo downplayed and disregarded McGregor‘s post-fight comments and took a serious jibe on social media. He tweeted, “Hey [Conor McGregor] Your grappling is so you bad you can’t even submit a clean urine sample.” ‘Triple C ‘ took a straight jibe at the Irishman for using steroids, which is a sentiment shared by UFC color commentator Joe Rogan as well. He also claimed that ‘Notorious’ didn’t have much of a grappling game in his arsenal.
Hey @TheNotoriousMMA Your grappling is so you bad you can’t even submit a clean urine sample. I’ve seen more intimidating men on a can of Bud Light. https://t.co/ElOA9if7oJ

Henry Cejudo went the extra mile to tell McGregor that he isn’t as tough as he thinks he is. He added, “I’ve seen more intimidating men on a can of Bud Light.” This tweet comes after ‘Triple C’ fired shots at the Irishman during the post-fight press conference last weekend and said, “Conor McGregor don’t got sh*t on my resume.”
Henry Cejudo has no idea what lies ahead in his MMA career. He might be able to work his way back into the title picture, but he is 36 years old and competing in one of the most stacked divisions in the UFC. As Triple C previously stated, his ultimate goal was to become the featherweight champion.
