Conor McGregor is infamous for his rivalry with the Dagestani star, Khabib Nurmagomedov. Nurmagomedov and ‘The Notorious’ had several altercations and trash talks that added to the excitement of their fight. The two finally squared off against each other at UFC 229, which resulted in a loss via submission for ‘The Notorious’. But some rivalries seldom die. 

The heat of the rivalry has begun to emanate once again. McGregor happened to take a jab at the ‘Eagle’ while offering some advice to the fighters. However, things went awry after he replied to a fan and ended up fat shaming his rival. Without a doubt, Nurmagomedov’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz swooped in to defend the former lightweight champion and reminded McGregor of his defeat.

Recently, the former UFC double champion took to Twitter and shared some advice with the world. He asked his fellow fighters not to bet their purse against each other. He made it clear that fighting was a tough job, indeed, and luck was one of the factors that controlled the outcome. Instead, he asked the fighters to train hard and earn the ‘dough’. 

Soon after, a fan decided to revisit McGregor’s fight with Nurmagomedov. He claimed that the ‘Mystic Mac’ owed his fight purse to Nurmagomedov. Undeniably, McGregor lashed out and replied, “Khabib is a fat b**ch with tits now, lad.”

Abdelaziz then rushed to rescue Nurmagomedov. He replied to McGregor’s Tweet and tried to remind him of what the Dagestani fighter did to him before and after the fight. Furthermore, he seemed to point out that the Dubliner didn’t learn his lesson. He wrote, “You don’t learn your lesson do you remember what he did to you before and after the fight.”

Joe Rogan defended Nurmagomedov 

In a previous episode of the JRE, Joe Rogan invited Bobby Green to the set. The duo talked about a variety of topic, but ended up stumbling over Nurmagomedov’s appearance. Green was seemingly surprised at the way the fighter looked. He exclaimed, “When I see Khabib, I was like the holy f***. What happened to you?”

However, Rogan believed otherwise. He tried to defend the former champion and said, “He’s not fat, he’s just big. He’s not lean anymore, He’s 200 pounds.”
