Michael Chandler wants Conor McGregor to get off that yacht. That’s right, being away from the cage, McGregor is enjoying all the wealth he has collected over the years that made him the richest MMA fighter out there. Now, with his Road House movie coming out, he’s about to get even richer. Meanwhile, Chandler wants him to do the one thing that actually made him famous.

However, it looks like he’s screaming into an empty cave. The echoes of his callouts are loud but it’s just his voice all over again. McGregor issued a fight date at the start of the year and ever since then, he’s been busy promoting his movie. Here’s Chandler’s latest tweet.

Michael Chandler reportedly went into camp when Conor McGregor announced the 29th June fight date. However, Dana White has now denied any preparations for the fight to happen then. He and the UFC have not been in the loop at all. Either way, Chandler still posts videos of him working out intensely to keep going. However, ‘The Notorious’ also posted a video of himself on a bike wearing what one could only call speedos, and that irked Chandler to no end. “Not gym if dress code is speedo.” He said about the video.

Meanwhile, McGregor mainly just promoted his movie via the tweet as well. In an earlier X post, Chandler argues why the fighter has kept him waiting for so long. It has in fact, been years since he last fought and it didn’t make sense to Chandler that he was still out of action.

“I get it. He’s coming off an injury, so that said, now that @TheNotoriousMMA is healthy…the question is, why wouldn’t it be #ufc300 ? It’s been 2.5 years… Get off the yacht kid…” The self-proclaimed most entertaining lightweight on the planet looks like he’s losing his patience.

Will he return or is it all a hoax?

MMA insider Josh Thomson believes that Conor McGregor isn’t actually going to make a return this year at all. While his co-host, ‘Big’ John McCarthy thought that a “sunset clause” for his contract must be in place meaning he has to come back at some point. Except, we don’t know what point that would be. Also, UFC contracts can be extended.

The announcement was nothing but yet another prank. The Irishman started the year by baiting just about everyone including Chandler who was perhaps, the most excited about it all. He told McGregor how he wanted to fight him at his “biggest” and “baddest” and reportedly started the camp to fight him. Just to eventually realize he was chasing a dream that wasn’t there.
