Brace yourself! Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler is official for UFC 303 as announced by UFC CEO Dana White. In a few weeks’ time, fans can once again witness all the madness that comes with a McGregor fight. The relentless trash talks, the heated press conferences, and face-offs, perhaps even new iconic one-liners like “Who the f*** is that guy?” All these gave McGregor the upper hand, leading up to his fights. But has he already lost the upper hand in this one?

Michael Chandler believes so, and he has his reasons. The anticipati͏on for their clash began when McGregor and Chandle͏r͏ s͏tart͏͏ed beefing on TUF 31. ‘Mystic Mac’ told ͏Chandler “You’ll do as you’re told.” This interaction was used heavily in the promos for the show, painting a picture of McGregor verbally dominating the scene.

Now, with the fight being set at welterweight, Chandler has fired back. McGregor seemingly wanted a bou͏t at 185 lbs – he said so during TUF 31 and in his New Year’s Eve return announcement. But it seems he has settled for 17͏0 lbs, i͏n͏itia͏ll͏y͏ ͏propo͏s͏ed͏ by ‘͏Iron’ in one of his callouts. N͏o͏w,͏ as the fight is hap͏pening o͏n h͏is͏ terms, Chandl͏er has taken the͏ initiative to r͏emind McGrego͏r o͏f ͏his ͏words.

Fans rip apart Conor McGregor after Michael Chandler’s response video

In the video, we can see McGregor stating that they would fight at ‘185’ while, on the other hand, Chandler said he wanted a fight at ‘170’. It seems like the MMA fans agree with the Bellator star as well. Some of the reactions by the fans are as follows:-

One fan took McGregor’s side and reminded Chandler that he had to wait three years for the fight to happen, “Bro waited for 3 years to post this edit,” he wrote. Was Chandler too corny to post this?

Meanwhile, one fan expects a knockout victory for Chandler against McGregor – “Chandler will ko for sure conor is just a walking troll.”

The trolling of ‘Mystic Mac’ continued in the comments. “Connor will do fookin nothin” read one comment, while another wrote, “Conor will do what he’s told.”

Meanwhile, some fans are getting tired of McGregor. One comment went, “Retire him already so we can stop hearing about him.” Is this a growing sentiment? UFC 303 will also be a test of the Irishman’s stardom as much as his fighting capacities.

“Conor wanted 170 bro…. He’s big af now,” wrote one fan. Was this McGregor’s plan all along? Ask for 185 lbs so that he could get 170 lbs? With the muscle he put on during his layoff, a cut to 155 lbs would drain him. Did Chandler play into the ‘Champ Champ’s plans?

McGregor has been inactive for nearly three years now. Chandler has not fought in nearly half that long. If anything, this fight will both test if the pair have still got it. How do you see this one playing out?
