Sean Strickland expressed concern because of a UFC formality he has to do during the UFC 276 fight week using a Gina Carano reference. The PPV will go down on July 2 during the International fight week. UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and top contender Jared Cannonier will headline the show. Meanwhile, ‘Tarzan‘ will square off against fast-rising prospect Alex Pereira.

Ahead of the pivotal bout, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, the streaking middleweight fighter talked about the upcoming press conference for UFC 276 and made some interesting comments.

In a clip Strickland posted on his Instagram, ‘Tarzan‘ said, “I got some bad f***ing news. UFC wants me to be a part of the press conference. I’m a little f***ing scared.”

Revealing why he feels such a way, he added, “I’m talking to the overlords ESPN, f***ing Walt Disney man; And you know if I f*** up and I say something wrong? I’m gonna f***ing get Gina Carano’d.”

Strickland is at #4 in the UFC middleweight rankings. And the three fighters ahead of him have already fought or are gearing to fight for the division’s strap. Thus, a win next could line him against Israel Adesanya vs. Jared Cannonier winner.

Dana White reached out to Gina Carano

UFC President Dana White has often suggested he doesn’t like to stop fighters from saying stuff to each other, since in the fight business, people say mean stuff all the time.

And while Strickland is worried to get ‘Gina Carano’d’, the 40-year-old, Carano, shared that the veteran UFC promoter was one of the first people to reach out to her. She told her to ‘get a hold of Ben Shapiro’ during her tough time. ‘Conviction’ talked about White reaching out and more on the latest JRE episode with Joe Rogan.
