Despite announcing temporary retirement after he found out about his health problems back in 2021, Gordon Ryan pulled himself back to the BJJ fighting mats through sheer guts. His match against ADCC super fight against Andre Galvao ended with a victory and it appears that his second super fight against Felipe Pena has again proved why he is called the GOAT of the BJJ world. But wait, despite the victory the community appears to be sour against Ryan. Why? Let’s find out.

Well, the clash was highly anticipated for the fans and the fighters appear to have failed to meet their expectations. The match started slow with both the fighters maintaining their distance. Ryan had the control time but Pena threatened the ADCC superfight champion with a footlocker.

The match went into overtime, and Peña took Ryan’s back, turning on top of him. However, ‘King’ earned the only two points awarded in the match. The win puts Ryan and Pena at 2-2 over their four grappling matches. The victory might be sweet for Gordon Ryan but it faced the wrath of the fans, who believed that Pena should have won the fight.
