The U͏FC has been on a roll this year, with Dana White and the͏ administration ra͏kin͏g͏ in dollar bill after d͏ollar bill from th͏eir events. Everyt͏hing has been sailing smoot͏hly for them, ͏but this was not the case last year. Towards the end of the year, UFC was hit with a massive jol͏t as their premium event, UFC 294, faced m͏ultiple last-minute changes to both the main and co-main fights. The Islam Makhachev vs. Charles Oliveira and the Khamzat Chimaev vs. Paulo Costa fight had to be changed.

Both the Brazilian fighters, Charles Oliveira and Paulo Costa had to withdraw from their fights due to serious reasons. Dana White had to clinch in Alexander Volkanovski and Kamaru Usman as replacements. The UFC supremo saved the card but this has made the UFC supremo have a grudge against Oliveira as he was extremely angry at his fighter.

Dana White was fuming over Charles Oliveira’s injury

UFC 294 was supposed to be the second clash between Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev. The stage was set as the entire MMA community was keen to witness the Brazilian sensation back in action against his former opponent. It would have been a class match, however, the fight never happened as just a few days ahead of their fated clash ‘Do Bronx’ injured himself and had to withdraw from the match.

Charles Olivera suffered a nasty cut just above his eye which forced him to give up on the lightweight title aspirations. Dana White and his team had to convince Alexander Volkanivski to clash against Makhachev as a replacement. White was in serious distress but he never let the MMA community have a slight hint of his stress levels but a recent video by Roku of the war room after Oliveira’s pullout reveals a different side to the story.

The UFC supremo was agitated by the irresponsible behavior of ‘Do Bronx’, and said “How about this? They fu**ing call us, let us know, and tell us what to do. Sparring with no headgear? The week before he leaves for the fight! You are supposed to leave today, the night before. He is going the night before, sparring with no fu**ing headgear. That cost them big money.”

White’s anger is palpable considering that Oliveira injured himself just a week before his fight. Well, even Paulo Costa was out of the clash but he was very much willing to fight but his staph infection stopped him from fighting. Interestingly, Hunter Campbell even tried to clinch Makhacehv and Oliveira for a fight to happen at UFC 295.

Just as Dana White and his team took a deep breath after the successful UFC 294, Jon Jones came knocking with another problem. UFC 295 was sabotaged as Jon Jones injured himself ahead of his clash against Stipe Miocic. Their fight was supposed to headline the event. The war which was closed after UFC 294 was again active but this time with Hunter Campbell at the helm.

Campbell assured White that he would bring Tom Aspinall and Sergei Palvovich for the clash. He also asserted that he would try his best to bring in Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira for their rematch. “The other thing we can do is try and see if Islam and Oliveira can fight. Islam took a single punch, and Oliveira is still in shape, and his cut would be ready by then too. I think I can pull that off,” said Campbell.

Sadly, Oliveira’s coach Diego Lima declined the offer considering the fact that the Brazilian will not the ready to clash against the champion in such a short time. The MMA community believes that this back and forth by Oliveira is the reason why he is being sidelined by the promotion right now but the reality might be a bit different as we can’t form opinions as of yet.
