Bobby Green, the UFC lightweight veteran, was the latest guest in the recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Both Green and Rogan have been a part of the UFC for a long time now. Hence, it was evident that the pair would discuss a lot about the sport. However, ‘King’ also shared an intriguing show idea with Rogan.

During the conversation, Green told Rogan that he wanted to host a show with the former mixed martial artist Brendan Schaub. Green’s idea is to bring together the UFC fighters who have had a long time beef and let them settle their beef inside the room by talking.

Although it sounded a bit strange to Rogan at first, the UFC commentator liked the idea when Green revealed that his first guests on the show would be the UFC stars Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz.

Green said, “I wanna take fighters who have had beef. You know we take the world’s best beefs if we could get the two fighters in the same room. Sit them down and let them speak.”

“Let’s see if we can call it peace treaty… Do some sh*t like that. We go over the craziest beef and stuff over time, you know. That’s my little show. Like, imagine if we got Nate and Conor in the room. Nate is my cousin, so I think I can get Nate to do it. But Conor, I don’t know about that.” Green concluded.

However, their fight wasn’t the only highlight here. Both McGregor and Diaz are amazing on the mic. They surely entertained the fans with heavy trash talk in the lead-up to the fight. Later, Diaz won the first fight via submission at UFC 196.

But the rivalry didn’t end there. Both the fighters agreed to fight for the second time in the same year. However, this time around, McGregor did enough to secure a win via decision at UFC 202. Both their bouts are among the top-10 highest-selling pay-per-views in UFC history.

What is next for Bobby Green after his recent loss?

The Californian secured a unanimous decision victory over Nasrat Haqparast at UFC 271 in February. However, he lost his next fight, which he took on a very short notice, against the Russian fighter Islam Makhachev.

‘King’ suffered a first-round knockout loss against Islam Makhachev in February 2022, which broke his previous two-fight win streak. Although Green doesn’t have an opponent on the card, he got called out by a fellow fighter who took a similar short notice fight.

Renato Moicano, the Brazilian lightweight fighter, took short notice fighter against the former champion Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 272. However, he lost the fight.

Later, Moicano asked for the main event from the UFC against Bobby Green. He believed he put up a great performance in the short notice fight. Hence, he must be rewarded with the main event. Also, Green vs. Moicano would be a treat for the fans, according to the Brazilian.
