Previously, Cyborg and Nunes had crossed paths at UFC 232 for the featherweight belt. At the event, ‘The Lioness’ finished Cyborg to become the first female two-division champion in the UFC. Ever since then, the former champion has been asking for a rematch against Nunes.

However, after one more fight, Cyborg departed from the UFC and joined Bellator. Hence, the rematch never saw the light of the day. Even now, it might not be contractually possible, as both the fighters compete in different MMA promotions.
Before responding to a clash against Cyborg, Nunes may want to regain her title.
