Former UFC lightweight fighter Dan Hooker will be back inside the UFC octagon in an event this March.

UFC will have its event on English soil for the first time in three years. The promotion will have a UFC Fight Night event inside The O2 Arena in London on 19th March 2022. The promotion is stacking up its card with some exciting bouts.

An amazing heavyweight bout between Alexander Volkov and Tom Aspinall is set to headline the event. However, the UFC has added one more bout to the fight card.

Dan Hooker will take on an undefeated British fighter, Arnold Allen, in a featherweight bout. UFC officials confirmed the news on their official Twitter account.

‘The Hangman’ made his UFC debut in the featherweight division in 2014. But after a few bouts, he moved up to the lightweight division. However, after his recent submission loss against Islam Makhachev at UFC 267, the New Zealander announced a move back to the featherweight division.

Meanwhile, ‘Almighty’ made his UFC debut in 2015 and has remained undefeated ever since. He is currently on an eight-fight undefeated streak and will look to continue his streak against Hooker.

Allen stands number seven on the featherweight roster and a win against Hooker will further increase his rank. On the other hand, Hooker is yet to be ranked in the featherweight division. Hence, it is an important fight for both the combatants.

Coming to the fight, ‘The Hangman’ is a more experienced fighter and has a good number of knockout and submission wins. On the other hand, Allen has never won a fight via knockout in the UFC. However, he has finished two of his opponents via submission.

The British fighter takes his bout to a distance for a decision. However, it won’t be a walk in the park for him to face Hooker, as the latter needs only one good strike to end the fight. But ‘Almighty’ might have an upper hand if keeps a slow pace and relies on his ground game in the fight.
