UFC President Dana White has expressed his dislike for the MMA movie ‘Warrior.’ The movie was released at a time when mixed martial arts were still gaining mainstream popularity. The 12-year-old film did not resonate well with White. The UFC boss felt that Gavin O’Connor’s film lacked originality. White, being deeply involved in the MMA world, has always prioritized the portrayal of the sport in an accurate manner. He felt that ‘Warrior’ deviated from the realities of MMA. According to him, the movie presented a somewhat exaggerated and unrealistic depiction of the sport. The movie has Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton in the lead roles.

Another actor in the movie, Frank Grillo, revealed the truth about White’s take on the film. The movie, although praised for its emotional storytelling and character development, took certain creative liberties with its portrayal of MMA. White, being a staunch advocate for the sport, likely found fault with various elements of the 2011 movie. Furthermore, it is important to note that, during the film’s release, MMA was still striving to establish its legitimacy as a sport.
