It seems like the fighter pay discrepancy issue is far from over for Dana White and Co., as the pot was recently stirred once again by Andrew Schulz at ‘The Roast of Tom Brady,’ airing live on Netflix. Although this allegation has time and time again haunted the CEO, no one ever accused the UFC CEO of watching American Football during a fight. Yes, that’s right! Recently, the Russian featherweight contender, Mosvar Evloev, accused White of watching another sport during his match in UFC 297, revealing some unpleasant secrets about the UFC big gun.

Evloev’s last battle was against Arnold Allen at UFC 297. Despite the Russian fighter clinching the victory via decision and climbing to the 5th position on the featherweight rankings, he later found out that White considered his fight as one of the boring ones. In a recent talk with Aslanbek Badaev on his podcast ‘Badaev Podcast’, the mixed martial artist made several revelations about the UFC and its CEO and why he thought of the fight as boring.

In conversation with Badaev, the featherweight contender recounted what White said about his last fight. The UFC bossman had said that it was “not fun”. Evloev thought that it must be because of some good reason. “Maybe he wanted to stimulate me somehow, or dampen my championship ambitions a little. Because he already understands that I’m close.”

But soon, the fighter had a talk with the founder of American Top Team, Dan Lambert, who disclosed the real reason why White thought the fight was not as fun. Evloev said, “Then we talked with Dan Lambert after the fight… Yes, the founder of ATT. He says, ‘Mosvar, I was sitting next to Dana White during your fight, and he was watching American Football there.’ He apparently placed a bet somewhere on the time of my fight, maybe, I don’t know. He may not have even fully seen my fight. Maybe he somehow drew attention to my fight after there were illegal blows, when there was still one minute left.”

Subsequently, Badaev asked about the question Evloev had for Dana White. But unfortunately, White’s reply depicted the fight against Allen as “not the coolest fight of the evening”. Without a doubt, this only further motivated the fighter to strive for the championship belt. He seemingly pledged that he would take the belt and then see if the fight was still boring: “I’ll take the belt and then we’ll see.”

With him currently standing in the 5th spot of UFC’s featherweight rankings, things might proceed faster than expected, don’t you think? And he had much more to say!

But Dana White’s Football secret wasn’t the only revelation that was made on the Badaev Podcast episode. Evloev also talked about his fight with Aljamain Sterling. The Russian mixed martial artist told Badaev that he had been asking for a fight against ‘The Funkmaster’. Although he claimed to have asked the UFC for a fight every single day, his next big play is unofficially scheduled for August.

While the Russian seems ready to take on the fight, it is now Sterling’s turn to speak up. Would he accept the fight and will it actually take place in August? Only time has the power to say that for certain. But one thing is for sure. Evloev has a newfound motivation to entertain the audience, especially, Dana White, with his next fight in the UFC.
