In a recent statement, McGregor asserted that he is losing patience as well as motivation to fight due to the delay. This call for help was noticed by Nate Diaz who called out Dana White and Co. to free McGregor. After months of waiting, McGregor is finally coming out to reveal his contract status with the UFC.

 Conor McGregor hints at parting ways with the UFC

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler were supposed to fight each other last year; however, USADA stopped the match citing drug testing. The former dual-weight champion obliged their demands of two proper tests in 6 months. McGregor is one of the most tested fighters this year on the UFC roster but there were no signs of any announcements of their match from the UFC administration.

This unnecessary delay is getting on McGregor’s nerves. In another statement, ‘Mystic Mac’ asserted that Lorenzo Ferrita would have signed him now till now. “I’m sure they are thinking about it. You know, Lorenzo probably would have been at my door two fights ago, maybe to re-sign me. So, I don’t know what way they are going to do. “

Nonetheless, in a conversation with renowned journalist Ariel Helwani, McGregor has finally asserted that if the discussion doesn’t work out, he will then have no choice but to part ways with the UFC. “Fair enough. If we’re having two fights in the contract, we gotta do something else. Or do we? I don’t know, man. Surely, nobody brings the figures I bring. Ever. You see, all of these things will, I’m sure, work out and be ironed out with my management stable, Paradigm Sports, in my next phase of relations or next deal.” said McGregor.

There have been rumors that Dana White is delaying the process due to the fact that he wants to renew a new contract with McGregor.Nonetheless, Down in the conversation, ‘Notorious’ emphasizes that his relations with White are not affected by the delays.

As mentioned above, McGregor only has two fights left in his contract, and the delay by Dana White might be his game plan to clinch a better deal for himself as well as for McGregor. During a recent interaction with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, McGregor asserted that he would fight this summer. However, Michael Chandler came forward to quash this stating that there has been no confirmation from the UFC CEO regarding this matter.

As much as one might think that there’s beef going on between McGregor and White, ‘Mystic Mac’ stated in a statement that he has no sour thoughts about White and Co. “People want to make a beef with it.There’s no beef. I’m happy where I’m at and I’m delighted where I’m at. Let’s go. I feel I’m in a great place.”
