Cody Brundage started his endeavor in the match by hastily moving towards Bo Nickal to strike the undefeated fighter, however, Nickal maintained his sweet distance from Brundage. The inaugural round had some action as it had some nasty kicks and punches from both the fighters but after the initial round, there was very little action from either of the fighters.

In the end, Nickal pushed Brundage down and employed his wrestling skills and BJJ to wrestle him. Finally, he submitted Brundage for the win. Regardless, it seems like it was not enough for Joe Rogan and Dana White. After winning the bout, Nickal immediately headed over to the cage side where Dana White and Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg were sitting and after having a conversation with them he seemed a bit gloomy.

In his conversation with Joe Rogan, Nickal asserted that he was not content with his win. “I’m a little bit embarrassed with that performance. I expect to go out there and completely dominate this guy and shut him out. I gave him too many opportunities. At the same time, I’m grateful because I did get to get past the first round. A few seconds removed, it was kind of ideal because I was able to have that appearance under my belt.” said Nickal.
