There are many fighters who became successful in getting inside the biggest MMA promotion in the world but could not taste success afterwards. One among them is Sarah Frota, a name the UFC community might have forgotten due to her very brief existence at the promotion. Dana White’s Contender Series was the first step Frota took to get into the world of UFC. The 35-year-old achieved a glorious victory in the series against Maiara Amanajas dos Santos. With a powerful punch, she knocked out her opponent in the very first round. Her debut fight in the promotion was in 2019, when she fought against Livinha Souza at UFC Fight Night 144. Another loss to Gillian Robertson followed her in the same year.

The two subsequent losses labeled her a weak fighter. Furthermore, ‘A Treta’ failed the USADA test, followed by her UFC 240 bout. The Brazilian fighter ended up receiving a suspension for two long years, which eventually put a full stop to her UFC career. However, the streaks of failure never made her quit fighting. Recently, the underground fight club, “Come for Blood” based in the United Kingdom, has announced Frota as their new contender for Bare Knuckle boxing.

The UFC president always made sure that he only kept the best fighters in the promotion. Dana White doesn’t show much patience with weak fighters. If they failed to prove themselves in the promotion, in no time White let them understand that the door is always open for the weak to exit.

However, it is through the Instagram post of “Come for Blood” that the audience came to know about the next move of Frota.

“Come for Blood” is a fight club that emerged from the United Kingdom, where they caught the attention of combat sports lovers for some peculiar reasons. The fight club introduced some novel formats in the matches they conducted. One major attraction among them are bare-knuckle bouts, where there is no specified number of rounds. There is no enclosure for the contenders either. The exact venue of their matches is unknown to this day. Nonetheless, the promotion is attracting viewers with its “no rules” policy.

Furthermore, the fight club made sure that they came up with a sanctioned eye-gouging policy to stand out from the rest. The combat sports lovers now have to wait till June to find out whether Frota will emerge victorious or not. If she does, this might indicate that the UFC president was wrong to let her go from the promotion.
